Do I really need to reserve my ski rentals in advance?
Yes, absolutely! We highly recommend booking your Breckenridge ski rentals online before your trip. Here’s why:
- Save Money: You lock in better rates by booking online.
- Save Time: Your rental forms will be filled out, so we can get you through the fitting process much faster.
- Guarantee Your Gear: During peak season, holidays, and weekends, popular ski sizes and models can be completely sold out. Booking in advance guarantees we have the perfect gear set aside just for your rental.
What's included in a ski rental package?
Our standard ski rental package includes the essentials: skis, boots, and poles. We also offer helmet rentals, which can be easily added to your package. For safety and peace of mind, we strongly recommend a helmet for every skier and snowboarder.
Do you offer a ski rental delivery service?
Winter: You are welcome to pick up equipment any time after 2 pm, prior to your first day of rental. Equipment is due by 6 pm on your last day of rental (accommodations are made if night skiing at Keystone or special cases). Our Winter hours are 8 am – 8 pm.
Summer: Rental begins at the time of pickup and is due based on the customer’s preferred increment of usage. Our Summer hours are 9 am – 6 pm.
When can I pick up the equipment, and when is it due?
You bet! Carvers Ski Shop offers a convenient ski rental delivery service throughout Breckenridge. Let us bring the shop to you! Our expert technicians will deliver your equipment and provide a custom boot fitting in the comfort of your hotel, condo, or vacation home. It’s the ultimate way to skip the lines and maximize your time on the mountain.
I'm a beginner. What kind of equipment do I need?
Welcome to the sport! We have beginner-specific ski and snowboard packages designed to make learning easier and more fun. This equipment is typically built with a softer flex and a shape that helps you initiate turns and control your speed more easily. Our team will talk with you about your experience and get you set up with gear that builds confidence and ensures you have an amazing first experience on the snow.
What if my boots are uncomfortable or I want to try different skis?
Your comfort and performance are our top priorities. If your boots are causing issues or you feel the skis aren’t the right match, please come back to the shop. Proper ski boot fitting is the most important part of the setup, and we are happy to make adjustments or swap your equipment for a different size or model at no extra charge.
Do you offer ski tuning and repair services in Breckenridge?
Yes! Our professional shop technicians provide expert ski tuning and repair services. Whether your own skis need a fresh wax for better glide, sharpened edges for carving on ice, or a base repair, we can get your equipment in top condition. We offer quick, overnight service so you don’t miss a single turn.
Can I store my rental skis with you overnight?
Please do! Hauling gear back and forth is no fun. We offer complimentary overnight ski storage for all our rental customers. Simply drop your skis and poles off with us at the end of your day, and they’ll be waiting for you right at the base of the mountain the next morning.
Do you sell discounted lift tickets?
We do not. Breckenridge Ski Resort controls all ticket sales and lessons. The ski area website offers a discount by ordering tickets at least 7 days in advance.
How far are you from the slopes?
We are located on the north end of Main Street, just a two-minute walk from the Breckenridge Gondola, which gives you access to the entire ski area.
Do you have customer parking?
Yes! We have ample customer parking behind our building for equipment pick up/drop off and shopping.
Where is the best happy hour and burger in town?
You’ll just have to stop in, say “hi” and find out!
